Die Ausstellung stellt mit Blick auf die fotografische Arbeit von drei internationalen K\u00fcnstlerinnen unterschiedlicher Generationen Konzepte vor, die an soziologische, empirische oder wissenschaftliche Themen erinnern, diese aber in eigene illusionistische Bildwelten \u00fcberf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n

Die italienische K\u00fcnstlerin Daniela Comani (*1965 Bologna) bezieht sich in vielen ihrer konzeptuell mehrteilig angelegten Werkgruppen in humorvoll ebenso wie subtil kritischer Weise auf Aspekte geschlechtsspezifischer Zuordnungen in sozio-kulturell unterschiedlich gepr\u00e4gten Bereichen unserer Gesellschaft. Beispielhaft hierf\u00fcr ist u. a. das fortlaufende Projekt Eine gl\u00fcckliche Ehe <\/em>(seit 2003), in dem die K\u00fcnstlerin in unterschiedlichen Szenen des Alltags gleichzeitig als Mann und Frau erscheint.<\/p>\n

Erstmals in einer Ausstellung in Deutschland zu sehen ist die Arbeit der ungarischen K\u00fcnsterlin Kata Geibl (*1989 Budapest). In ihrer mehrteiligen Werkgruppe Sisyphus <\/em>(2018) setzt sich die aktuell in Den Haag und Budapest lebende K\u00fcnstlerin in poetisch-illusionistischen Bildern mit scheinbaren Versuchsmodellen der Wissenschaft auseinander. Der Titel wirkt metaphorisch und spielt auf die Diskrepanz zwischen Vertrauen in die rationale Wissenschaft und die stets sich neu ergebenden R\u00e4tsel existentieller Zusammenh\u00e4nge an.<\/p>\n

Wie B\u00fchnen zum Studium der Natur wirken die Szenarien, mit denen die finnische Fotok\u00fcnstlerin Sanna Kannisto (*1974 H\u00e4meenlinna) in ihren unterschiedlichen Werkserien der vergangenen Jahre Bildwelten schafft, in denen unter anderem Insekten, Pflanzen und V\u00f6gel \u00e4sthetisch in eine eigene Zeitlosigkeit \u00fcberf\u00fchrt erscheinen. Seit etwa zwei Jahrzehnten liegt der Fokus der fotografischen Arbeit von Sanna Kannisto auf der Beobachtung von Natur und ihren besonderen Erscheinungsformen.<\/p>\n

Zur Ausstellung erscheinen zwei Sondereditionen des Museums f\u00fcr Photographie Braunschweig von Daniela Comani aus den beiden Werkreihen Eine gl\u00fcckliche Ehe I A Happy Marriage <\/em>(2003-2020) und Planet Earth:21st Century <\/em>(2015-19).<\/p>\n
