A total of 43 diverse photographic and artistic positions explore uncharted territory in this year's members' exhibition, on display until January 17, 2021. Through videos, photographic series, and installations, they illuminate the theme from various perspectives. While Iris Selke's self-portraits, " new lease of life, " explore potential psychological dimensions, Jan Gäbler's series "Fynbos" engages with the terrain itself, presenting the botanical world of South Africa in an installation in the museum's garden. The political dimension is evident in photographic series on past industrial cultures of Eastern Europe and in Marlene Apmann's photograph " Helgoland I. " A pressed cube of waste paper, isolated within an abstract landscape, takes on an almost sculptural quality.
