Morgaine Shepherd. Through the Looking Glass

The exhibition, conceived as an installation specifically for the museum spaces of the Museum of Photography, presents the photographic and cross-media work of Morgaine Schäfer (born 1989). The artist, born and raised in Wolfsburg, explores various thematic focuses in her conceptual artistic work, drawing on her family photo archive and aspects of female identity.

The view of aspects of female identity, with its culturally and historically determined references to family history, appears autobiographical and at the same time representative, in order to also present critical aspects of role models.

The exhibition is a collaborative project with the Wolfsburg Art Association.
