To mark its 40th anniversary, the Museum of Photography Braunschweig presents important works from its collection, which includes examples from the early days of photography, the estates of Käthe Buchler, Hans Steffens and Nikolaus Geyer, as well as international photography of the 20th and 21st centuries.
In a dialogical juxtaposition, photographic images from different phases of the development of the medium and its design methods are presented in thematic, motivic, narrative or abstract contexts.

Michael Ewen: 40 Years of the Museum of Photography Braunschweig – A Documentary Film with a Personal Touch. To mark the museum's 40th anniversary, Michael Ewen, artist, filmmaker, and board member of the Museum of Photography Braunschweig, has filmed, collaged, and designed a documentary film about the museum's history. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for discussion over quiche and drinks.
