"A Kind of Magic" is the theme of this year's members' exhibition at the Museum of Photography Braunschweig. The exhibition theme was chosen through a democratic process involving all members of the museum association and explores aspects of magic and the magic of photography from diverse perspectives in a total of 43 works. The participants translated their individual understanding of the content and formal possibilities of this multifaceted theme into equally diverse photographic and filmic works, accompanied by short texts. The museum team selected the works from the submissions and curated the presentation in the exhibition spaces. The exhibits include individual images as well as series, black-and-white and color photographs, and installations. The museum association comprises artists and photographers from Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, and the surrounding region, extending as far as Berlin and the Rhineland.
