Thirty-three curators in thirty-three european countries were invited to nominate each one young photographer from their country, to represent his / her country with a contemporary - at most three to four-year-old work.

This procedure is one wich harbours both opportunities and risks, but which in any event results in a colorful and surprising mix. It originates a mosaic of varying techniques, aesthetics and ideas, that reflects the situation of the medium photography at the turn of the millennium and besides that the characteristics of Europe.
