"Self portraits" is a work in progress and in two parts. One part consists of photographs taken by my friends and acquaintances of themselves in their domestic surroundings, following my instructions. They are supposed to be as naked as possible, and during the process of photographing I'm not in the room with them. I would like to achieve an unusual situation, where they would be caught in their fragility, loneliness and timelessness.

The second part of the project is my looking for an appropriate shot of the exterior near their home, being connected with what they are or what they are doing. The composition of these exteriors is always well considered, while the composition of the portraits cannot be fully monitored. With this project I'm satisfying my oblique curiosity, a kind of anthropological and sociological drive and my attitude towards photography as a medium which I use to confirm my own position in society.
