Exploring the modern phenomena of literature and moving images, i.e., using the possibilities of multimedia, Danko Friscis's series "Reflex" proffers itself as an imaginary destination, and we must ask ourselves how we got there after all. Yes, Friscic's pictures have a story to tell.

In today' s world of technological super highways and all the new modes of expression available, his starting point is a traditional one: he is a painter. The paintings are used as the positive for the print. On closer examination, the process consists of taking a photograph of the painting (often with applied fragments of photographs, high-relief paint or everyday objects), then scanning, and finally printing the negative.

The striking magnetic attraction and atmosphere of these images, sometimes merely associations of imaginary landscapes, proclaim how deceptive appearances can be.
