The hyperreal icons created with the help of a landscape generator are based on fractals and chaos theory and represent images of a virtual reality which is paradoxically real, yet without origins; they validate representations of reality. The 360 - degree panoramic photographs become an enigma for the viewer and activate the truth-quest-mechanism regarding authenticity.
As Baudrillard asserts, a more accurate way of describing representation is by means of the simulacrum: "The generation by models of a real without origin or reality: a hyperreal."
